Data and security
Only the data Veyra needs. Your school in control.
What we collect, who sees it and how to switch it off, for data protection officers and IT leads.
Demo dataAt a glance
What your data protection officer asks first.
- What we collect
- Names, year groups and class lists through Wonde, assessment responses, how pupils use Veyra, technical data, and the reports it creates.
- Never collected
- Photographs, location data or social media information.
- Who sees what
- Your school decides who has access. Staff and pupil views are kept separate, and any parent view shows a family's own child only.
- Security
- Encryption, secure sign-in and role-based access controls.
- Retention
- Kept while your school's account is active, then deleted or anonymised. Your school can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Never sold
- Personal data is never sold, and never used for advertising, behavioural profiling or commercial marketing.
- Research use
- Anonymised or pseudonymised, voluntary and consent-based, with independent ethics approval (IREC025).
- Your rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
The legal detail is in the privacy notice. Anything else, such as where data is stored, ask us a data question. A person reads every message. Last updated October 2026.
Connecting through Wonde
Your school controls the connection.
Veyra connects to your management information system through Wonde, the schools data-integration platform.
- You authorise it. Nothing comes to Veyra until you do.
- You see exactly which data points Veyra receives.
- Pupil and class lists arrive, with no data entry.
- Review or revoke access at any time, and ask us to delete your data.
Ask Veyra
An AI assistant for staff, with clear limits.
- Who uses it
- The staff your school gives dashboard access to, such as teachers and SENCOs.
- What it draws on
- Your school's results in Veyra, so answers are about your pupils.
- What it will not do
- Diagnose, or claim to be a teacher, a therapist or a doctor. When a question is out of scope, it says so and points to a person.
It supports your judgement. It never replaces it.
Teacher: What should I try first with 8C?
Ask Veyra: Several pupils in 8C find it hard to hold instructions in mind. Give one step at a time, on the board as well as out loud.
Teacher: Could this pupil have ADHD?
Ask Veyra: I can't tell you that. Veyra does not diagnose, and I am not a doctor. Your SENCO is the right person to talk to about next steps.
Safeguarding
Built so pupils are safe using it.
Veyra supports your school's safeguarding work. It does not replace the safeguarding responsibilities your school holds.
- No messaging between users, and no public profiles.
- Access is controlled by your school, and staff and pupil views are kept separate.
- Pupils use Veyra only through their school or an authorised educational organisation.
- Every user is treated as potentially vulnerable by default, with enhanced protections to match.
Veyra is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, and it does not provide clinical treatment or therapy.
Who is behind Veyra?
